About Us

Hill Energy Services was founded in 2002 by Nicholas Hill, a Certified Energy Manager and LEED Accredited Professional with over twenty years experience in the Energy Management field. Nick helps his clients manage their energy usage in over 35 million square feet of commercial, retail and industrial space. He has been responsible for providing procurement services and strategic planning for $80 million in energy and fuel budgets.

He has worked as an energy auditor, construction manager, designer and project manager for consulting firms and major energy services companies. Nick has been responsible for the design and construction of over $40 million in energy efficiency projects, with annual savings of $18 million. He has also lectured on energy efficiency in the United States and Canada. He is a member of the Association of Energy Engineers, the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America and the US Green Buildings Council and a LEED Accredited Professional. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Wesleyan University, Mr. Hill has had extensive training in fuel procurement, energy systems analysis, design and safety.

Scott has more than has 25 years of experience in mechanical and energy systems analysis, design and operations. He has worked as a Project Manager and Senior Mechanical Engineer for major Energy Service Companies. He has analyzed and designed a number of innovative energy conservation options such as heat recovery (research labs), chilled water and ice storage cooling, fuel cells, small co-generation, wind power, methane gas recovery, solar PV as well as more conventional projects such as chiller and boiler plant upgrades. Scott is a Professional Engineer and a Certified Energy Manager. He is a graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy and holds a Master’s in Energy Technologies from New York University.
